How we handle information from our storefront, companion software and connected Pixlumo displays.

Last updated 1 September 2026

1. Who controls your information

Pixlumo Labs is the controller of personal information covered by this policy. You can contact us about privacy at support@areodesk.com.

This policy applies to our website, orders, support, connected displays and companion services. A third-party app, store, payment service or integration has its own privacy terms and is responsible for its own processing.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, authentication identifier and account status.
  • Order and delivery information, such as purchased products, payment status, delivery address, and messages about an order. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
  • Device and service information, such as a device identifier, firmware version, device name, settings, schedules, selected applications, diagnostics, request logs, IP address and basic network metadata.
  • Content you choose to provide, such as wallpapers, images, custom text, configuration values and support messages.
  • Feature and integration information that you choose to connect, and a selected location or coordinates when needed for a location-based feature you enable.

3. Why we use information

We use information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue our legitimate interests in running and securing the Services, and—with your consent where required—for optional permissions and integrations.

  • Process orders, payments, delivery, cancellations and customer support.
  • Create and secure accounts; pair, configure, update and operate connected displays.
  • Store and synchronise the content and settings you choose to use.
  • Provide requested live-data features and connected integrations.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, technical failures and security incidents; maintain and improve reliability.
  • Send essential service communications, including order, account, security and material product messages.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed for the purposes above, including with:

  • Service providers that help us host, authenticate, process payments, deliver orders, store content, analyse reliability, send email or provide support.
  • Data providers and integrations you select, only to provide the requested feature.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, authorities or other parties where necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, prevent fraud, or protect people and property.
  • A buyer, successor or adviser in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

5. International processing

Our providers may process information outside the country where you live. Where transfer laws apply, we use a lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards required by those laws. You can contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected: while your account or device remains active; for transaction, tax, warranty, dispute and legal-record purposes; and for a limited period in backups and security logs. We then delete or anonymise it where practical. Retention periods may differ by information type and legal requirement.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a portable copy of certain personal information. You may also withdraw consent for optional processing at any time; this will not affect processing already carried out. You can change app permissions and disconnect available integrations through your device, account or the third-party provider.

To make a request, email support@areodesk.com. We may need to verify your identity and may decline or limit requests where the law permits. If you are in the UK, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office; if you are elsewhere, you may contact your local data-protection authority.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. No internet, wireless or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and local device access secure.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the current version here and update the date above. For privacy questions, contact support@areodesk.com. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of service.
